It’s rare to catch a movie that drops all the cliche Bollywood tactics and gets straight to the point by capturing our ultimate focus. Andhadhun is a thriller mystery that is sure to leave you in a heady mix of emotions and absolute hysteria!
Rated 9.2/10 on IMDb, Andhadhun stars strong characters played by fascinating actors of the scale of Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte.
Here’s why this one’s not worth missing.
It’s a hilarious thriller, ever heard that before?
Morbid humour may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you may just surprise yourself when you watch Andhadhun and a chuckle unknowingly leaves your system every once in a while. The storyline is filled with unexpected curves that are nail-bitingly intriguing. At one point you will lose faith in every character’s soul, their brutality overpowering all else, making you wonder how the movie will end. But all you can do is sit on the edge of your seat and patiently(or impatiently) wait.
Tabu nails her enticing and intimidating role
If you thought Tabu played a negative role in the movie Haider, that wasn’t even close. This veteran star successfully manages to scare your guts in Andhadhun. She’s selfish, smart and her vicious mastermind is applaud worthy. How far does she go to achieve what she wants? Well, quite the distance.
Radhika Apte aptly plays the girl next door
While the omnipresent Radhika is apt for every role possible, this one’s a rather refreshing character in her kitty. We’ve seen her play the strong independent woman until now, who is a go-getter. Well, she plays an adorable girl next door in Andhadhun with, not to mention, great fashion sense and wins our hearts once again. She has great timing with dialogues and an unconventional vibe that’s sure to grab eyeballs.
Ayushmann Khurrana (his name is enough reason)
He’s had an impressive career chart that’s seen his talent and efficiency rise higher by the day. With the focus on detail, he proves his mettle yet again with Andhadhun where he plays a blind pianist. Like most method actors, he learned the piano and trained himself to live like a blind man, just to pull off the role. There will be moments in the film when you’d want to scream at the screen and ask his character to make better choices, this is when you’ll realise Ayushmann has outdone himself as an actor.
The movie will leave you in hysterics!
This movie makes you feel unexpected emotions like discomfort, hilarity, shock, confusion, pity, panic and most of all relentless curiosity! At one point you’ll be laughing out loud, cringing at the next and saying “Woah!” almost consecutively. It brings you face to face with fickle humanity and shows you what drives people to ultimate disruption.
Filled with uneventful surprises, this movie unfolds in the most cryptic way possible making it a must watch. If you’re still not convinced, we’re judging you!
