Chris Hemsworth aka Thor aka Greek God might be visiting India next month and we just can’t keep calm!
Speculations say the star is doing a Netflix movie called Dhaka with Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda. It’s a film written by Joe Russo and will be directed by Sam Hargrave, a duo that has previously worked on Captain America: Civil War as well as Avengers: Infinity War. Yes, geeks, Joe is one of the famous Russo brothers!
When we deep dived into some serious research about this project we found a site called Deadline.com that reported the film to be Sam’s directorial debut. The genre of this film sounds like a mystery drama/action thriller that will be picturised in India and Thailand. While not too many details are known yet, the portal revealed that Chris will play a mercenary named Rake who is hired to save the son of a businessman played by Manoj. While Randeep will play Manoj’s right hand. Sounds hectic.
Spilling some more secrets about the movie a source said,
“While Chris is hired to rescue the kidnapped boy, Manoj Bajpayee will be essaying the role of the boy’s father who is an Indian don. Randeep, on the other hand, will be seen playing the role of Manoj’s right hand, Saju who contacts Chris for the mission.”
Bollywood stars are really killing it with their popularity abroad, we notice how intricately intertwined our worlds are getting and Hollywood is slowly accepting Bollywood talent with open arms. We should probably thank stars like Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher and Irrfan Khan for opening up these floodgates of cinematic opportunity!
Coming back to the shooting schedule of Dhaka, the source added,
“A part of the film will be shot in Ahmedabad over a schedule of 15 days and the shooting for the same begins in the first week of November. Post which the unit will continue their shooting in Mumbai and later fly to Thailand. Chris will begin his Indian schedule next month.”
Are those happy tears we see in your eyes? We feel you.
