Priyanka Chopra is UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador and went to Jordan to be a part of the Mission for Children initiative. While she visits Syrian refugee children and interacts with them, she keeps us posted with her many social media images and messages.
Around 5 million Syrians have taken shelter in various host countries and most of them are overburdened by the rise of population in schools. This keeps almost one-third of the refugee kids away from proper education and support funds.
“I think the world needs to understand that this is not just a Syrian refugee crisis, it’s a humanitarian crisis,” she said in an interview on Sunday. “..this can be an entire generation of kids that could turn to extremism because they have not got an education,” she said.
While many are thrilled and inspired by her contribution, a scribe on Twitter pointed out something different.

Sonakshi Sinha applauded her for the cause and tweeted,

Chopra appreciated Sinha’s kind words and said that the cause is the need of the hour, irrespective of which country the child belongs to. “War is not a choice for most,” she added.
