Sara Ali Khan’s debut film was an awaited event for all of Bollywood. There was a delay that caused further controversy when Sara gave away her Kedarnath dates to Rohit Shetty’s upcoming release Simbaa. After plenty ups and downs we finally saw Kedarnath receive a grand opening with Sushant and Sara impressing the crowd through their mesmerising chemistry.
So why exactly must you watch Kedarnath? We’ll give you four reasons, but be wary, we have some spoilers coming up!
Sara is a natural actor
Owing to her parents, we all had great expectations from Sara Ali Khan, and after watching her film we can definitely say that she’s a true drama queen! Dramatic dialogue delivery and animated expressions come naturally to Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter. With her strong screen presence and adorable charm, Sara will win you over and make it difficult for you to take your eyes off of her.
Does she seem like competition for B-town biggies? We dare say she does!
Sushant is charming as ever
Sushant Singh Rajput has been very vocal about his love for Shahrukh Khan, making “charm” his middle name and his work a reflection of the same. He aces his big-hearted yet innocent and humble character in Kedarnath, so much so that you’ll want to hug the man before he completes his first dialogue in the film.
His chemistry and ardent love for Sara’s character makes this film worth its while.
The stunning landscape of Kedarnath
When the pounding beats of a Lord Shiva song reach your ears and the mountains of Kedarnath take over the massive big screen, you will experience goosebumps and pure wonder. Director Abhishek Kapoor captures the exquisite beauty and immaculate marvel of the pilgrimage and its pilgrims like a holy poetry.
Magical colours, lush greenery and a hearty view of the Himalayas will take your breath away!
The devastating calamity that follows a love story is heartbreaking; the impending twist leaves the audience praying and frightened towards the end. Just like Titanic, this fiction love story commences on the backdrop of a forlorn true event and pays tribute to the many who lost their lives in the 2013 Kedarnath cloudburst.
But does this new version of Titanic sail your boat? You decide.
